Marc develops and applies pro-poor ICTrelated innovations in post-conflict reconstruction and disasterrecovery settings as well as in developing countries (inclusiveinnovation). He is a reserve officer for the civil-military inter-action commando where he focuses on the comprehensiveapproach. He holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School ofManagement (with a specialization on entrepreneurship inemerging economies) and a PhD in physics.Hester Stubbé joined TNO as a researcher and technical consultantin the department of ‘Training & Performance Innovations’. Herresearch focuses on self-directed learning, work-based learning,experiential learning and the development of innovative learningsolutions needed to achieve that. Currently she is working on pro-jects with primary schools, secondary schools, out-of-school childrenin Sudan, small and medium-sized enterprises and in the safety &security domain.Mark Ruijsendaal is business line manager at TNO. He isresponsible for strategy, marketing and portfoliomanagement.Research topics include ‘privacy & identity management’, ‘user empowerment’, ‘ evidence based policy & strategy’ and ‘life-long learning’.Josine van de Ven is a program manager at the department of ‘Trai-ning & Performance Innovations’. Here work focuses in the domainof crisis management and her expertise humans in complex infor-mation environments. She has a background in computer scienceand cognitive science.Marijn Rijken works as a business consultant and projectmanager at TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for AppliedScientific Research. He advises companies, governments andNGOs on the use of innovative ICTs and has a vast experiencein among others, the telecommunications, health and energysector. Since 2006 Marijn is specialising in ICT for Develop-ment (ICT4D), is co-leading TNO’s market activities in this field.Anja studied educational technology and obtained a PhD inapplications of Artificial Intelligence to educational techno-logy from the University of Amsterdam in 1996. At present,she is program manager and senior researcher at the Dutchresearch organization TNO in the field of Serious Gaming. Sheheaded the development of the Go4it game.>
