• Mickey Mouse with the Steamboat Willie

5. CHANGES
1920
• In 1923, Walt and Roy Disney brothers began
Brothers Cartoon Studio and signed with MJ
Winkler Productions.
• They changed the name in 1926 at Walt
Disney Studios.
• Mickey Mouse appeared in 1928.

6. 1930
• Appeared Goofy and Donald Duck.
• "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" was
published.
1940
• Many recognized Disney movies were created,
including "Dumbo" and "Bambi."
1950
• Buena Vista Distribution Company was
created in 1954. Disneyland in California was
opened.

7. 1960
• Land was bought secretly in Florida to build
"Disney World" in 1967.
• Walt Disney was diagnosed with lung cancer and
he died in 1966.
• Roy changed the name of the park, calling Walt
Disney World.
1970 onwards
• "Beauty and the Beast" became the first
animated film nominated for an Academy Award.
