  4. 4. biography• his parents were Elias Disney and Flora Call Disney• he’s grown up with 4 brothers and sisters• in 1906 his family moved to a farm in Marceline , Missouri• become interested in drawing at an early age
  5. 5. • with 14 he visited the Kansas city art institute• later he visited the McKinley High School in Chicago• dropped out of high school at age of 16• Acceded by the red cross• By the first world wear he was sent to Franc where he drove an ambulance
  6. 6. • 1919 he left home and started his artistic career in Kansas City• with Ubbe “Ub” Iwerks he charted short advertising films• he and his brother Roy founded a little company (Alice Comedies)• In 1923 the company was renamed in “ Walt Disney company”• 1925 he married Lillian Bounds• The Mickey Mouse was created in 1926
  7. 7. • With “Flowers and trees “ he wan his first Academy Award• 1934 Donald Ducks first carton• 1937 Snow white and the seven Dwarfs come in the cinema• After the second world war he produced (realfilmes)• On a business trip to Chicago in the late 40’s he had the idea for an amusement park
  8. 8. • He bought an area in the south of Los Angeles• The park was opened at the 17.7.1955• In 1964 he bought a second area to build a theme park on it• The last film in witch he participated was Mary Poppins from 1964• 15.12.1966 Walter Disney died on lung cancer

  12. 12. genesis- was created as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit- In the spring of 1928, Disney asked Ub Iwerks to start drawing up new character ideas- 1925, Hugh Harman drew some sketches of miceinspired Iwerks to create a new mouse character "Mortimer Mouse" (original name)- renamed from his wife in Mickey Mouse- 15 May 1928 debuted in a test screeningit failed

  18. 18. recent history- on November 18, 1978 in honor of his 50th birthday, the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame- 1994, "The Band Concert" was voted the third-greatest cartoon of all time- since 1999, many television programs have centered around Mickey- Mickey was the Grand Marshal of the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Years Day 2005

History- was created by Walt Disneywanted a character that could portray more negative character traits- 1931 first called in a publication of Mickey Mouse- on June 9, 1934 first appeared in The Wise Little Hen (Silly Symphonies cartoon)- 1934 first appearance in comic-strip format (The Wise Little Hen)- next shot Little Boy Blue
