  • 2. From Mendeley Desktop, install MS Word plugin
  • 3. If the installation is successful, you’ll see this screen. Click ‘OK’.
  • 4. Open MS Word. You’ll see the Mendeley Cite-O-Matic under the ‘References’ tab
  • 5. Click ‘Insert Citation’.Awindow will pop-up. Click ‘Go To Mendeley’. This will open your Mendeley Desktop.
  • 6. Find the reference you want to cite. Select it and click on ‘Cite’.
  • 7. Your in-text citation will be inserted. Continue writing your paper. Then to insert the end-of-text references, click ‘Insert Bibliography’.
  • 8. The full references will appear. To change the citation style, use the ‘Style’ dropdown menu.
  • 9. THAT’S THE BASICS Good job!
