Education with technology basics should be taught now as in 15 years today’s technology may become outdated. Improvements to batteries and greater use of intelligent alternative sources of electricity from sunlight, movement, sound and pressure changes are likely to create opportunities for adult education by improving access to information and communication in less developed countries and isolated areas. Technology brings education and culture together. You will also see interconnectivity across regional and national boundaries . Instructors will become more lifelong learners, and their instructional and delivery methods will change. You will see more graphics based and video based education programs for adult learner. Facial recognition will allow online communication more effective. This can be a positive for hybrid learning to alleviate cheating. This tool will allow instructors to actually recognize faces of students based on the technology. New methods to engage learners, develop curricula, and establish learning networks are gained through the emergence of technology. In addition, Proctors should be in the classrooms while online webcasts, courses, etc. are being presented. Hope, J. K. (2009).
Community-based organizations value the process of working in collaboration with stakeholders from various sectors to achieve a desired outcome. The future with knowledge translation (KT) will assist community-based organizations to adapt research findings to local needs and circumstances which may be the most beneficial way to advance decision making. The anticipated changes will result will be to work towards developing partnership and solutions that enable exchange for the future. (Kothari & Armstrong, 2011).
Increased levels of diverse populations comes from skill sets, geographical location, and age. In today’s society, adults are getting older and living longer as the life expectancy has changed. The paradigm has also shifted as older adults are remaining in the workplace due to possibly policy changes in the retirement age, layoffs and overall prefer to be more productive their daily lives. Once retired, aging in their communities is the preferred living arrangement. On the downside, older adult are faced with many barriers to various situations,. For example, age-unfriendly communities with poor signage or inaccessible public transport limit the autonomy of older people; they repeatedly expose the public to examples of older people who are vulnerable and need assistance. Slide #5 – Future Outlook of Diversity in Service Communities: This four step process ( Step 1: Assessment, Step 2: Identifying Resources about the Community, Step : 3 Designing Services, and Step 4: Program Evaluation) aid in the program planning, implementation, and delivery of diverse population services. The goals is to provide a benchmark for future planning of community based services and foster respectful, inclusive, and sensitive services for any diverse community. Funding has fluctuated with community based programs and education and will continue to be monitored until a new system is in place to capitalize on investing in adult education and community services. For the future 15 years from now, funds must be strategically allocated in areas of need by all levels of government, and more importantly the key to success is sustained investment in an ongoing learning process . Grants and other funding should be secured by within 10-15 years. Archer, D. (2007.
