An exciting new control valve technology was presented as a course at the Illinois Rural Water Association Annual Conference. This valve technology was applied within a Water District in Rural Illinois, where two diaphragm valves that had reached end-of-life were replaced with a pair of 6 inch V-Port/Baffled Segmented Ball Valves, Quarter-Turn Motorized Actuators, and Upgraded SCADA Controls. The experiences and telemetry performance data from this application were reported in the training course, thereby providing a blueprint of how a rural water district can achieve similar successful results.
