1. Use of media technologies during the evaluation stage
2. We used Safari in our evaluation to help us access the blog (wordpress.com) and to find software such as Slideshare.com to improve the presentation of our coursework and Yahoo answers which gave us lots of successful feedback. When deciding on our to present our textual analysis for each product we decided to be creative and do a short video with a voice over on top. We used final cut to help us make the video’s and garage band for our voice over. For question 3 of our evaluation, we had to explain how effective the combination of our main product and ancillary texts is. To do this we used photographs to create diagrams linking all three products together . Photoshop was perfect for this sort of task because it allowed us to resize our products add text and arrows to indicate clearly different things. For our evaluation we had to explain what we have learned from our audience feedback, we began by using Yahoo Answers to post our music video out to the audience to see there opinion of it. This technology is very important because it is honest direct feedback from a real audience.
3. Slideshare is a brilliant software which allows you to create PowerPoint presentations and upload onto the website for others to view. It also allows me to embed the PowerPoint onto the blog which I thought was a perfect way to present question 4. This software was excellent and I will definitely use it again. We had to state where we would hope to see our products if they were released into the real world. So instead of just writing about where I thought they would be, I thought about taking photographs of the actual places. So for example, I took a picture of the album chart in Asda because I’d hope to see my digi-pak there. Finally, we used Microsoft word to create our handout sheets for our music video premiere. We organised the premiere to receive audience feedback on whether it was conventional in terms of form and genre. Microsoft word helped us to create professional answer sheets, which set the mood at the premiere, and help with organisation.
