Dear Dr. White:
Pursuant to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act (IC 5-14-3), I would like to obtain
the following public records:
1. The number of students who transferred to Indianapolis Public Schools after
September’s 2010 annual enrollment count date and the schools they
transferred from.
2. The number of students who transferred out of Indianapolis Public Schools
after September’s 2010 annual enrollment count date and the schools they
transferred to.
3. The number of expulsions from IPS from September 2010 to April 2011.
4. A copy of IPS’ rules and regulations regarding transfers to and out of the
district.
5. The exact legal authority you are citing which would allow you to ban
students who transfer from to charter schools after the September
enrollment date. From attending IPS.
6. A copy of your current contract with IPS.
I understand that if I seek a copy of this record, there may be a copying fee. Please inform

According to the statute, you have 24 hours to respond to this request. If you choose to
deny the request, then you are required to respond in writing and state the statutory
exception authorizing the withholding of all or part of the public record and the name and
title or position of the person responsible for the denial.
