Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan
Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) that started its operations in January
2001 under the brand name ‘UFONE”. As a result of PTCL's privatization, Ufone
became a part of the Emirates Telecommunication Corporation Group (Etisalat) in
2006.
The customer focus and best offering has allowed Ufone has built a subscriber base
of over 24 million in less than a decade. Ufone has network coverage
in 10,000 locations and across all major highways of Pakistan. Ufone currently caters
for International Roaming to more than 288 live operators in more
than 160 countries. Ufone also offers Pakistan's fastest growing 3G network, and
BlackBerry Roaming coverage available with more than 200 Live Operators
across 122 countries.

Pakistan's second largest mobile operator.

local economy and has created 2,400 direct and 25,000 plus indirect jobs. It also
has a network of over 200,000 retailers, franchises and sales & service centers,
thus providing means of livelihood to thousands of Pakistanis.
• Over Rs. 147 billion in various forms of direct and indirect taxes have been
contributed to the national exchequer by Telenor Pakistan since the beginning of
its operations in 2005. Telenor Pakistan's corporate headquarters are in
Islamabad, with regional offices in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan,
Hyderabad and Peshawar.

Public Demands and Interests
• Mobilink’s corporate packages must be more cheaper.
• Why Prepaid packages are more attractive?
• Postpaid billing is charged little extra as users do complain.
• More cell sites should be set.
• Internet in MBs is like nothing in Postpaid packages.
• Pulse rate should be at least 60 secs.
• 80% Locking is not properly incorporated.
• CUG should be absolutely free as competitors do offer.
• NTN should not be necessary to make group in business like Telenor does
not take it.
