The HKIBIM - CIC BIM Conference 2015 is the 6th Annual Conference organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling (HKIBIM). It is the premier annual event for experienced AEC professionals to demonstrate the practical use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes using real cases. The speakers will illustrate lessons learned in practical projects so that others can improve their efficient use of BIM and advance practical knowledge.
Our company develops two products:
BIM Middleware (Building Model Middleware)
It plays a middleware to communicate with the frontend and backend platforms. The backend platforms can be facility management, big data engine, location engine …… The frontend can be mobile device or wireless tag.
2. IoT Wireless Tag
It is our self developed product used to collect the data in the physical environment. By combing the IoT device with BIM, it can enrich the data in the building model.
In the following slides, we will use two real cases to demonstrate the applications.
BIM is worldwide phenomena now. Globally, countries like the Unites States, UK, Finland, Norway, Korea and city like Hong Kong, have made BIM mandatory for public sector building projects. And, of course, we also see that the AEC industry and professional associations from country like Thailand have also been very active in the outreach program and setting BIM standards.
Therefore, in Singapore we would also need to step up the effort to drive the BIM adoption to ensure that our construction industry remains competitive in the global market.
There are two key levers in Singapore, ie. public sector building project procurement and regulatory submission [CLICK]
