2. A country has to change the school system, to adapt school curriculum to diverse children, to the children with different cultures. Teachers have to think about new methods to cope with diversity. On one hand it is the aim to make people aware of the other cultures around them and respect their cultural heritages. On the other hand there is the aim to create a suitable and effective education environment for children who come from different cultures and nations. At first contact the stereotype doesn’t look wrong, coldness looks directly proportional with the distance from the south. But 24 hours per day are enough to destroy this kind of prejudice.

8. Off course those students are different from us, but actually we’re still the same. We are human beings with feelings but the way we cope with these feelings are different. We want to rediscover ourselves in the other person. We look for similarities, similar patterns of thought, similar actions, … This makes that people from different countries can bound with each other However, the most far is the far between two heads. We tried to make them closer here and learned how to do that. In fact, one word is enough for those things: ‘respect’.

10. With patience and tolerance, we can overcome any obstacles. When we go back to our countries, we will be less prejudiced, we will have our minds more open and we will be more accessible towards other cultures and contexts. The most important is not to think in contrasts but just to listen to your heart and to follow what it says. We are all different but inside of that diversity we can establish healthy relationships and overcome stereotypes

12. A lot of people talk only about foreigners from hear say. That is wrong. You can only tell something about a culture if you really went looking for that culture, lived in it, saw it with your own eyes. It has helped me to grow, not only professionally, but personally too.
