Example: Hedging
Of central importance in risk management are the
raw material prices as a result of the permanently
unstable prices on the raw material markets and
especially on the crude oil markets. In our industry,
hedging with focus on bitumen prices, diesel prices
and currency is of increasing importance as with
these financial tools raw material risks can be
calculated and corporate results be planned.

10. Hardware:
Multigrade Plants
Production of bitumen requires control of the rheology.
This can be achieved by control of the chemical
composition either through the crude source (feedstock
composition) or the production process. Our process
adjusts the chemical composition of the bitumen produced
to create the desired rheological properties. The result is
improved performance to a desired optimum based on
field or performance design. A wide range of quality
bitumen grades binders up to multigrade road bitumen can
be produced.
