Zespół Szkół nr 34 is a primary and junior high school located in Toruń, Poland. The school was originally located in a small village called Brzoza, meaning birch tree, which is featured in the school logo. It was moved to Toruń in 1988 and renamed after famous Polish traveler Tony Halik. The school has approximately 200 primary students and 100 junior high students. It has modern facilities like a computer lab, language lab, and smart boards. Students participate in various sports tournaments and competitions in subjects like chess, football, and floorball. The school aims to promote activities like reading, environmental protection, and family values.

2. THE SCHOOL DECRIPTION
Between 1946 and 1988 the school was
located in a small village near Toruń, called
„Brzoza”. In English it is a birch tree.
That’s why it is in our school logo.
The school used to have four classes and
only1 classroom then.
In 1998 the school was moved to Toruń.

3. After that, the school got the name
after the worldwide famous traveller
Tony Halik. He’s our patron.

4. Every year there are about 200
students in the primary school
and about 100 in the junior
high school. We function
together in the same building.
Our staff is about 30 teachers.

best students
from primary

school are holding
it on important
official assemblies
and school
celebrations.

Every year, we organize a football tournament.
Our younger students at the age of 8 participate
in it.

Every year our school is invited to take part in
tournaments of chess and checkers.

21. “Bieg Czerniewicki”
“Bieg Czerniewicki”
is our annual
tournament
organized by our
school in spring.
Students take part in
a race and they run
around the beautiful
forest near the
school.

Every year, our school is invited to play in
a floorball tournament.

The Earster Hare competition is also annual –
we make the funniest bunnies like this one:

24. “Najpiękniejszy różaniec”
The most beautiful rosary – annual task to make a
rosary out of different things, for example:
acorns,candies,shells...

25. Halloween
Every year we also make
the scariest jack’o’lanterns

This competition is annual, too. We make
beautiful Christmas decorations.

30. Next to our school we have got:
- a playground for kids,
- a big football pitch with
artificial lawn,
- a small pitch for handball,
- a running track.
Outside

31. Students spend breaks between lessons in the
hall or outside on the pitch.

32. The school is located in a quiet area
surrounded by forests and fields. Near
the school there is the longest river in
Poland, the Vistula River.
