  • 2. I did a questionnaire asking people what type of magazines they preferred andthe results showed that Music magazines are the most popular magazines amongmy age group.
  • 3. What product research did you do – talk aboutcomparing the magazine covers / contents pagesSay what you leant from them… eg my resultsshowed I should included cover lines and a bold fontas my title so in my magazine I included this…. Usemages rom your research I compared to magazine covers, a magazine which promotes andadvertises pop/chart music and one that does the same but forrock/alternative music I found that the pop magazine used a lot morebolder colours and fonts where as the rock magazine used more colourslike red/black and white which can usually be associated with rockmusic.
  • 4. This is my logo design I created it onphoto shop using the font Imprint MTShadow. I have chosen this logo touse because it is simple but bold andit catches your eye.
  • 5. Show the images youedited for your cover saywhat you did and why youthink it worked wellThese are the two images I usedfor my magazine cover. I made oneof the images portrait so that itwould fit better on my magazinefront cover, I have edited thebrightness on the pictures to makethem seem more brighter andstand out more and changed thecontrast to make the images lookclearer and more vibrant. I thinkthey work well because they bothlook very happy together on themand the guitar makes it look likethere actually musicians.
  • 6.  I aimed to create a pop magazineso I looked at another popmagazine ‘Top of the Pops’ to getmy inspiration on the covers ofthis magazine I noticed that theyuse a lot of images and textposts to hook people in. On mymagazine to make it look like apop magazine I have used a lot ofimages and headlines. I haveused bright colours to make itstand out and hook lines such as‘Free posters’ to make peoplewant to buy the magazine more.Because my magazine is aimed atpre-teens I have used a lot ofpopular music stars on the coverso they will want to buy it more.
  • 7.  For my contents page I again gotmy inspiration from Top of thePops magazine. I have usedbright clear font so that it iseasier to read and includedpictures on what is inside themagazine to encourage to buyerto read on.
  • 8.  For my double page spread I had to squish it all together as I didn’t havemuch space to work with so I couldn’t include a picture but I have filledall the articles and used clear fonts. Through out the magazine I haveused the same fonts and colour schemes so that it is consistent throughout and looks better.
  • 9. I have asked my class mates to give me information on what they thinkof my magazine I created a questionnaire and have displayed the resultsbelow.
  • 10.  I think I handled the time management on getting my pictures well and Ihad a clear plan and idea of what I wanted my magazine to look like.
  • 11.  I would improve on how quickly it actually took me to make a start onthis project and get into it but other than that I think everything elsewent quite well.
