● Developed a response plan to the Japanese Tsunami, including a budget spreadsheet of $500,000.
Traveled to Hong Kong to meet with exporters to deliver supplies and food into Japan as a first response and
later send over tools for recovery and debris removal. Traveled to Japan to organize with local partners a
plan of action for the response and recovery phase. First non-governmental organization to respond with
food - 250,000 meals delivered and cleared through customs.

● Internship (320 hrs completed) – Researched and edited Emergency Operation Plan for the U.S.
Navy’s largest medical treatment facility (6000 staff) to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and
Bureau of Medicine and Surgery standards. Independently developed plans for releasing patient information
during emergency responses for NMCSD. Independently developed plans for sheltering pets during
evacuation response for NMCSD. Prepared all documentation in support of the Joint Commission Survey. As
a result, the Joint Commission recommended NMCSD emergency management program as a national model.
