2. VOICE ACTIVE — VOICE PASSIVE
To switch the active voice sentences to passive
voice, simply:
1) Change the order of subject and object.
2) Add the auxiliary "to be" in the tense of the
active voice.
3) Add the participle of the main verb.

To look out for more on the action rather than who makes.
For example: The bike was sold by my brother.
To whom does the action when it is an understood subject.
For example: John was arrested.
When someone is not in charge of what is said or anyone
responsible have said.
For example: Commented that Julia has been separated.
4. Form of the passive verb
The passive voice in English is a form composed of the
auxiliary verb TO BE and past participle of the main
verb.
Application forms are sent by email.
Las solicitudes son enviadas por email.
The car was washed yesterday.
El coche fue lavado ayer.
5. 1. The past participle
With regular verbs ending-ed leads.
With irregular verbs, the past participle is the third
form of the verb (to speak-spoke-spoken).
The participle is invariable - has the same shape
regardless of the subject or the verb tense you use
is.
For example:
The paper was sticked. (El papel fue pegado)
The paper had been sticked. (El papel ha sido
pegado)
6. 2. The auxiliary TO BE
Bears the marks of tense (present, past, future).
Therefore, the auxiliary TO BE conjugates. It can
also be combined with modal verbs.
Present Simple: The car is washed every week.
El coche es lavado todas las semanas.
Past Simple: The car was washed yesterday.
El coche fue limpiado ayer.
7. Present Perfect: The car has already been washed.
El coche ha sido limpiado ya.
Past Perfect: When I arrived, the car had already been washed.
Cuando llegué, el coche había sido limpiado ya.
Future “will”: The car will be washed tomorrow.
El coche será limpiado mañana.
Modal verb: The car should be washed this weekend.
El coche debería de ser limpiado esta semana.
8. The car can be washed this weekend.
El coche puede ser limpiado esta semana.
The car must be washed this weekend.
El coche debe ser limpiado esta semana.
Going to (future): The car is going to be washed this weekend.
El coche estará siendo limpiado esta semana.
9. Examples of active voice to passive voice
- The staff telephoned the police.
The police were telephoned by the staff.
- The police took the man to the police station.
The man was took by the police to the police station.
- The police officer asked the man who he was.
The man was asked by the police officers.
- Scott Wild, undercover reporter. Why have you arrested me?
Scott Wild, undercover reported. Why have I been arrested by
your?

10. Examples of active voice to passive voice
