2. Why Web Development?
“I had a life once. Now I have a computer” - Author
unknown. I have honestly never found a quote more accurate
than this. (Even this assignment is on a computer!)
I never really knew what I was getting into when I walked into
Mrs. Candela’s web design class third trimester of sophomore
year. I was expecting it to be the hardest class I had ever
taken and that I wouldn’t like it. But I fell in love with coding. I
loved manipulating the code to create different effects on a
website. I loved learning new codes and coding languages. It
was all because of a class at Lake Shore High School.

3. What will I do?
 Integrate graphics, audio, and video into
a website.
 Write code for websites, using
coding languages such as HTML and
XML.
 Create and test web applications.
 Monitor website traffic.
 Work with graphics and other designers
to determine a website’s layout.

4. How to enhance a motion-
picture in photoshop:
Steps:
 Open your photo in photoshop.
 Go to images > auto tone.
 Go to images > auto color.
 Use the sharpen tool and
brush over the main figure.
 Use the blur tool on the
background.

5. What do I need to do from here?
Degrees range from a high school diploma to Bachelors degree.
Associates degree is the most common.
I plan on going to Indiana Tech.
I will take coding and graphics classes.

6. What makes a good employee?
 Advice: Strive to be better and keep
working at your goals.
 I will keep finding new goals and strive
to find new skills to learn.
 A good employee always gets their
work done and is rarely late.
 I maintained my work load and was
only late the first day, when I couldn’t
find the building.

7. Letter of Recommendation
 I am an “articulate… and motivated young woman.”
 It was really sweet to read.
 I love to be off on my own, finding work as needed.
 I love to find new things to learn and don’t need a push to do it.

8. What to work on?
 I’m still shy.
 I talked more, but not like I could’ve if I
was more comfortable with everyone.
 I need to be more outgoing.
 I can be outgoing and goofy with friends,
why not coworkers?

9. The Goal - Corporate vs. Teaching
Do I want to be a teacher or a corporate designer?
Corporate
I wish I could have done more design aspects.
I like being able to do free-range design.

10. The Ultimate Goal
 As an experience, Google.
 Any portion of Google, whether it be
headquarters or one of the corporate
offices in other states.
 As a job, Google or my own web design
business.
 It’d be nice to work at a big office building
(preferably somewhere warm) with my
own private suite.
