• I have decided to use the first one because it
looks a lot more like a magazine front cover
from the research I conducted. (IE. Slogan is
above the masthead, subject in the centre
with surrounding text). The second design
may look similar to a magazine but misses
some of these features.

because it looks more like a contents page (as
it has the special section for regulars and the
mini editorial and I prefer the way the pictures
are laid out).
