About J-CHIF (1)
J-CHIF was established in 1949 and has been an
organization officially approved by the Ministry of
Economy Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan
since 1988.
Comprised of 56 industry groups and 62 individual
companies in Japan related to building materials
and housing equipment.
J-CHIF collects and provides industrial and
product information on building materials and
housing equipment, conducts surveys and
researches, and promotes and spreads use of
good-quality building materials and housing
equipment.

Materials
About the Project of Green Building Materials
J-CHIF has disseminated and proposed use of green
building materials , technologies, and relevant standards
and systems in countries outside Japan.
As a part of such activities, J-CHIF has been entrusted
by METI to propose the Vietnamese authorities on
national standardization, testing and accreditation, and
energy saving policies since 2013.
Furthermore J-CHIF has started the same activities with
Indonesia since 2014.

About the Project of Green Building Materials
< Project Goal >
Project Goal is to develop the Green Building Materials to the
ASEAN Countries , and contribute to energy saving .
Technical assistance and cooperation for carrying out the
support and evaluation towards making of the national
standard to Standardization organizations, Testing
organizations, Energy-saving organization of Asian countries.
Establish the good relationship between Asian countries and
Japan through interactive activities with each country.
Progress of the Project with Indonesia
■ J-CHIF has already started the activities of this Project
with BSN since 2014.

● Feb. 2015 Meeting ( in Jakarta )
● Aug 2015 Seminar (in Bandung) Today
J-CHIF and BSN will continue exchanging
information.

Proposed Materials ,Technologies and Standards
J-CHIF will make the presentation about the proposals today
① Thermal performance of windows and doors
the software program [ WindEye ]
② Water-saving Closets
③ WPRC (Wood Plastic Recycled Composites )
④ High solar reflectance paint
Future activities to be taken
J-CHIF will technically assist Indonesia in planning
for national standards related to green building
materials and editing these standards.
Also we would like to exchange information with
everyone from the relevant organizations.
