2. What is first sign of chicken pox?
• Fatigue,
• Fever,
• Anorexia (feeling of no hunger)
• Unwell feeling and Malaise
• Red color rashes almost after 24hours first on
chest and back than on face, arms and legs
and whole body.

4. How long to chicken pox exist in the
body?
• After 10 to 21 days of exposure to chicken pox
virus the rashers start to appear in the body
and last for 5 to 10 days.
• Approx 30days
5. Can chicken pox occurs twice in life?
• Yes, but in very rare cases.
• Mostly the antibodies against chicken virus is
develop in the body of person who had
already face the chicken pox disease. So, they
have no fear of chicken pox again
6. How to be confirm chicken pox?
• Doctors rarely diagnose it on basis of rashes.
• In chicken pox rashes develop with red bumps
with the fluid filled in it.
• But in the Measles rashes they are flat red
spots and had no bumps and alos no fluid
present.
• But to final diagnose chicken pox by
laboratory test and blood test. Or culture test

10. Can Chicken pox Dangerous?
• Mostly it is completely recover in the
patients.
• But It may dangerous specially for babies,
adolescents, adults, pregnant women and the
person with weak immune system.
11. What are causes of ChickenPox?
• Vericilla zoster virus is cause the chicken pox
which is occur usually when in contact with
the patient who has chicken pox. it can spread
by person to person contact.
• Person who has never taken vaccine of
chicken pox are at higher risk of chicken opx

13. Treatment & management of Chicken
pox?
• Vesicollar rashes start from body trunk and
spread througout arms and legs.
• Chickpox rashes are of varient types i.e
different types of rashes appear at one time in
the body i.e scabs(when abcess drys), papules,
vesicles,
• First patient have to manage to seprate
himself from others and reduce the contact
with others.
14. Medicines
• 1st – Antiviral Medicine
• Acyclovir (HERPEX TABLET Brand)
• Dose: 20mg/kg 4 times a day
15. • 2nd – all symtomatic medicine (according to
symptoms)
• If patient has fever the
• Paracetamol:
• 15mg/kg three times a day for 3- 4days than
after these days it given SOS (means when
there is fever or as per requirement)

17. • For Itching:
• Cetirizine Tabs :
• 0.2mg/kg at evening time until patient relives
from the allergy
20. • If vesicles is filled with pus and seems infected
than antibiotic has given.
• Amoxicillin + Potassium clavulanic acid
• For infant:
• 30mg/kg in drop/ syrup for 2-3 times a day
• For Adult:
• 625mg 2-3 times a day for 5 days

22. Prevention of Chicken POX
• Use Vaccines of chicken pox
• Varicella vaccine
• 0.5ml S/C as a single dose
• If person is adult or elder than 13years age
and never get this infection before than he
should take the 2nd dose of this vaccine after
1- 2 onth of 1st dose.

24. Diet during chicken pox
• Take nutritious diet i.e Bread, fresh fruits,
green leaf vegetables, milk, turmeric and
ginger.
