Expression of Interest - initial project proposal for development and evaluation
of an avatar
This proposal is to be treated as a ‘pre-submission’, for consideration by Charles
Perkins Centre prior to requesting a formal complete project submission. Please limit
the total proposal, if able, to less than 3x A4 pages.

improved outcomes in health care:
7. Describe potential enhancements of the initial avatar that could be envisaged
should the initial evaluation be successful
8. Proposed methodology for evaluating effectiveness of the avatar:
(i) Trial design
(ii) Inclusion/Exclusion criteria
(iii) Outline of trial events/flow diagram of proposed study
(iv) Primary and secondary endpoints
(v) Preliminary estimate of required trial sample size
9. Proposed formal study collaborators (please list people/groups across Charles
Perkins Centre and beyond):
10. Proposed study budget (please list personnel, equipment, etc as estimates at this
stage) considering the amount per study will be limited maximally to ~$100-200K,
including the cost of developing the avatar.
11. Subsequent to the current study commencement, proposed approach to
obtaining funding to further develop, evaluate and introduce avatar into practice
