themsufferfromangermanagement. Movingontoour weaponry expertisHawkeyewhois a
marksman, skilledandarmedinarcherywithvariousbowsthathave differentabilities,while Rocket;a
bountyhunterinthe form of a geneticallyengineeredraccoon,he iswell-versedinthe use of high-
poweredfirearms,fromall overthe Galaxy.Intermsof harnessingthe powerof nature andusingitin
battle,Thorand Groot are the onesto be knownfor.Thor the demi god,whois able to manipulate
weatherandsummonlightningas hiscommand,whereas,Grootthe tree-like humanoid manipulates
livingtreesincludingitself.Lastlywe have ourassassins,BlackWidow andGamora.Both female
assassinsare well trainedincombatandalsoin variousmartial artsand combatantskill.
Secondly,inbothfilmsthere is anitemthatthe villainobtainsandturneditintoaweaponof mass
destructionwhichtakesformof a cosmicstone.Inthe filmThe Avengersittakesformof a cube and it is
calledthe Tesseract. The Tesseractisan InfinityStone of unparalleledpowerthatisownedbyOdin,itis
now keptand secured inAsgard.Loki usesthe Tesseract,inconjunctionwithadevice built byS.H.I.E.L.D,
to opena wormhole above StarkTowertothe enemy’s fleetinspace,launchinghisinvasion to
subjugate Earth.But inthe filmGuardiansof the Galaxythe destructive weaponisstoredinanorb,
openingthe orbreveal the InfinityStone, anitemof immeasurablepowerthatdestroysall butthe most
powerful beingswhowieldit.The villaininthismovie ‘Ronan’embedsthe Stone inhisWarhammer,
takingitspowerfor himself andgrantinghimthe abilitytoobliterateanentire planet.
Otherthan that,the objective of the heroesare identical witheachother,theydefendedagainstthe
evil. InThe Avengers,the teamwas assembledbyS.H.I.E.L.Dbuttheywere unwillingtocooperate with
each otherandwiththe organization.The Avengersbecomedivided;bothoverhow toapproach Loki
and the revelationthatS.H.I.E.L.D.planstoharnessthe Tesseracttodevelopweaponsasadeterrent
againsthostile extraterrestrials.Butafterrealizingwhatwasmore important,theysortouttheirpriority
by defendingthe Earthfromthe invasion.Asforthe Guardiansof the Galaxy, theyare a group of
extraterrestrialmisfit,knowingthatthe oddsare againstthem, theyforman uneasyalliance. Jonathan

Furthermore,the organizationineachfilmplays abigpart as theyare the foundationof our heroes’
success,widelyconsideredasthe reinforcementsof ourheroes. S.H.I.E.L.Din The Avengersisan
espionage,law-enforcement,andcounter-terrorismagency.Itsheadquartersis the Helicarrier,an
enormous flyingaircraftcarrierkeptairborne atall times,andamongotherstuffs, holdingasquadronof
jetfightersand lodginganintercontinentalballisticmissile. The agencyisledby theirdirectorNickFury.
Notjust relyingonThe Avengerstodispose the enemy,he cansometimesbe seentolendahandto our
heroeswhenintrouble. Inthe Guardiansof the Galaxy,the NovaCorps is an intergalacticmilitaryandor
police force forthe planetXandar,retainingorderandjustice forall.The responsibilityof the Nova
Corpsis to defendthe civilizationof Xandar,theyhelpedassistthe Guardianstoendthe doingsof Ronan
and savedthe entire galaxyfromthe wraithof Ronan.
In conclusion,the aspectof the films doesnotdeterthe likenessof eachother.Instead,itisquite similar
interms of the characters, the weaponof massdestruction,objective of the heroesandthe
organization.Infact,theyare from the same genre and bothare underMarvel Universe. Science fiction
filmhave alwaysbeenapreferchoice tomany,ithas seldomdisappointusfromthe actionand
explosiontothe mainplotof the movie.
