 Classroom

A) CLASSROOM:
 Must be a lab.
 Proper furniture and ventilation.
 Adequate infrastructure facilities.
 Proper placement of accessories/display.
 Classrom must have plenty of material.
 Must be as per programm of action 1993 &
NCF 2005.
B) TEACHER:
 Must be creative.
 Must reach beyond the classroom.
 Allows freedom to children for experiments
and project work.
 Allows freedom to respond.
 Gives reward for good work.
 Runaway method and fightaway method.

B) TEACHER (cont.):
 Away from fears:
a: fear of failure.
b: fear of rejection.
 Must create these expressions:
a: developing healthy habits
among children
b: Teacher must be a good listener.
c: spirit of cooperativeness.
d: bad deeds may be ignored.
FOUR KINDS OF TEACHERS:
 STAR TEACHERS:
“They have knowledge ,skill,competence and they
perform well.”
 WORKING HORSES:
“Have all above four qualities but are not
reliable.”
 TROUBLE SHOOTERS:
“ Better knowledge, better skilled,better
competence,but problem creator.”
 DEAD WORKER:
“Always reluctant to work.”
AN EFFECTIVE TEACHER:
 Takes personal responsibility for students
learning and has positive expectations from
every learners.
 Matches the difficulty level of students with their
ability.
 Gives students the opportunity to practice the
newly learned concepts and to receive timely
feed back on their performance.
 Maximizes instructional time for content
coverage.
AN EFFECTIVE TEACHER(cont):
 Uses variety of instructional material and visual
aids.
 Present material in small steps with
opportunities for practice.
 Encourages students to reason out and focus on
correct answer.
 Encourages independent thinking, problem
solving and decision making.
 Knows the child's likes and dislikes.

 THREE KINDS OF CHILDREN:

 BASIC ASSUMPTIONS:
1: All children are creative.
2: Each child is manipulative.
3: Each child is a hardworker.
4: Each child has got a sense of
discipline.
