JTI initiated in 2005 a highly strategic Enterprise Content Management Program. This initiative of a large scope (Paper &
Electronic Documents, Emails and Web content), and of a great magnitude (3 years, $70MM, 30+ FTE project team, 8’000
users worldwide) focuses on Record Management & Corporate Compliance, in-line with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Hired by JTI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) and working directly for the Chief Compliance Office to lead the overall Program
from an Information Management perspective. Mission: implement best-in-class solutions & practices to (1) allow a more
efficient usage of Information/Knowledge, (2) enforce effective management of company records throughout JTI globally.
Key achievements include:
• Corporate Record Management Policy & flexible retention schedule through a detailed File Plan,
• Complete Document & Record Management solution based on EMC/Documentum technologies,
• Unique & shared Repository for all electronic documents, replacing entirely file systems,
• Complete Information reorganization (document profiles & properties, categories, security rights, etc.),
