WHAT IS HALLOWEEN.
Halloween is a
celebration that takes
Place every 31st of
October in many
countries.

Although it is more famous in English
speaking countries, it is also celebrated by
many people in Spain.
On Halloween, people wear scary costumes
and follow many different traditions:
TREAT OR TRICK:
Children go
from house to
House asking
for sweets
(treat). If
somebody
doesn't give
them any, the
children can
perform a
mischief (trick).
Older people
go to costume
parties.
People also carve pumpkins into jack-o'lanterns to decorate their houses.
Another popular tradition is to light
Halloween bonfires.
There also are
Halloween games as
Apple Bobbing.
Players must catch an
apple floating on
Water inside a bucket
using their teeth. Use
of hands is not
allowed.
Halloween is also a date on which people
Visit haunted attractions.
People have to watch out for Halloween
pranks. Halloween pranks aim to scare
people.
Another important
Halloween tradition
is to tell scary stories
and watch horror
movies.
HISTORY
Actually, Halloween is a contraction of “All Hallows
Evening” as it is celebrated in the evening before
All Hallows Day.
Initially, Halloween
was a celtic
tradition.
It was celebrated
by the celts living
in Ireland, Scotland,
Wales or Cornwall.
The Celts celebrated the end of the harvest and the beginning
of the cold season.
As days started to have less sun hours in winter, they believed
that bad spirits would come to our world more easily in the dark.
Many of the Halloween traditions are
meant to scare off bad spirits.
In conclusion,
-Halloween is a celebration that
takes place throughout all the
world.
-People wear scary costumes
and perform many different
customs and traditions like Treat
or Trick or telling horror stories.
-It started in Britain by the Celts.
