The main objective of RRB is to provide credit and
other facilities particularly to small and marginal
farmers

India. It was formed in the year 1935 on 1st April. It
was established that under the reserve bank of
India act of 1934. Initially, till 1949 the reserve bank
of India was private. After then the bank was
nationalized by the government of India. Earlier the
headquarters of the RBI was in Calcutta and after
the nationalization, it was shifted to Mumbai.
