1. Using the skills I have developed using adobe illustrator and adobe flash. I have five and a half weeks
to produce a professional, new, idosyncratic 2D Vector Character for a live external client, lazy eye
media. The client wants to use the character in a range of new media applications which will mean I
have to make the character flexible and have a strong backstory. The character will need to have the
potential to be applied to spin-offs and merchandise such as close, mugs etc. the IP will be jointly
owned and so relantionship will be collaborative and and income will be received once the product
goes to market and is sold. This means that I will own a percentage of the gains as well as potential
losses. I will need to fully research characters which are currently on the market which will help me
generate a wide range of possible ideas for a character.once I have decided on a particuluar concept,
I will produce a detailed profile of my character. This profile will then allow me to work out what I
need to create in terms of assets and how they will be presented within my pitch presentation. I’ll
need to care inn setting up my flash project with the specifics I have been given. I will update my
schedule and production log atleast once or twitch a week during my research periouds throughout
the week and set myself a new targets accordangly. The feedback received from the client and my
production log will allow me to look back over the project and write an evaluation. I should be able
to work out wether or not I have achieved my goal and those of the client. This will help me more on
into the next assignment.
