Bill Kennedy of Arlington, Virginia, has more than three decades of
program management and business development experience.
Currently, he serves as the president and chief executive officer of
Kennedy Technical Consulting Services, LLC, in Arlington. Outside of
his professional activities, Bill Kennedy is an avid swimmer who
maintains membership in U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS).

SWIMMING SAVES LIVES FOUNDATION
In addition to sponsoring swimming clubs, programs, and workout
groups throughout the country, USMS operates a charitable arm
that advocates for and provides support to organizations that offer
swimming lessons to adults. Founded in 2010, the Swimming Saves
Lives Foundation (SSLF) aims to increase the number of adults who
can swim and decrease the number of deaths caused by
drowning, which is currently the United States’ fifth-leading cause of
unintentional injury death.

To date, the foundation has awarded in excess of $65,000 in grants
to over 20 separate swimming programs across the United States.
SSLF activities are supported by generous contributions from
individual USMS members as well as outside donors. The foundation
accepts grant applications up to July 25 each year and selects
awardees at the USMS annual meeting, which is held in September.
