My taxonomy of reflection
1. Application:
› I would apply what I have learn during this
project to my classroom. I teach math and
luckily, math is increasingly becoming more
and more digitalized with the websites like
Khan Academy, Virtual Nerds, i-ready, Aleks,
Stanford Math and so on. In other words, I
will continue to integrate technology in my
teaching.
2. Analysis:
› My analysis revealed to me that with digital
instruction it is easier to track students’
progress and use the data to make real time
inference and make decision about
remediation and future assessments for
students. That the pattern I have notice with
online instruction.
3. Evaluation:
› I do think I did a good job at describing how
I use technology in my classroom. I also
retrace my evolution from a young man who
grew up in a third world country, who wasn’t
exposed at an early to the technology that I
have available to me today but yet I find
myself implementing them in my classroom
and even leading training sessions on
internet instruction as a mean for
intervention and supplementary teaching
resource.
4. Creation:
› I have formulated three lesson ideas. The first one
required that students design an Excel Spread sheet
and integrate the formula distance = Rate x Time
within the cells to answer word problems. The second
lesson involved students conducting online searches
to find different prices for similar items and use unit
rate to determine the best buy. Lastly, students were
asked to derive function rules from tables and
graphs. The second portion of the lesson would be
completed online, using i-ready.
› have also created a book using story jumper and
this reflection which is published using SlideShare.
