1. ANSWERING 10 COMMON QUESTIONS
When a prospect asks you a question, he/she is not saying “no” to you. He or she
just has a question that has not been answered by you yet. You will learn how to
answer common questions, like these, in training classes as well.
I really don’t have the time/I’m too busy.
I know how you feel and it’s great that you’re busy! But, if you had an opportunity to make an
extra $1,000 - $1,500/mo for 6 –8 hours a week, it would be worth an hour of your time to at
least check it out, wouldn’t it? So what day is better for you, Tuesday evening or Saturday
morning?
OR
I can understand you’re busy. However, if your boss offered you an extra $1,000-$1,500/mo
for a few extra hours a week, would you turn it down?
How much money are you making?/How are you doing at it?
I’m in a management training program right now, and will be on track to make $50,000 in my
first year. Would that type of money interest you? By the way, how much are YOU making?
Are you like Amway?
Are you interested in Amway? (Not really)
Great, you will love our company; we are nothing like them. Would you be available on
Tuesday night or would Saturday morning be better?
I’m not interested in sales.
That’s great! We are not looking for salespeople. Would $1,000 - $1,500/month part time
interest you since it’s not about sales?
OR
Great, would you be interested in management? If I can show how to make an extra $1,000 -
$1,500/month in a management capacity, would you be interested?
What is the pay/salary?
I can’t talk specifics over the phone because I don’t know what you would qualify for. The
range for part time reps who work 6 –8 hours a week is approximately $1,00 - $1,500/mo.
Would that interest you?
It sounds too good to be true!
I apologize, did I give you the impression that I was offering you something for nothing? (No).
So, if I can prove to you that it is a legitimate business with career potential, would you take a
look?
2. ANSWERING 10 COMMON QUESTIONS (CONT’D)
Isn’t Primerica a pyramid?
Are you interested in a pyramid scheme? (no) Good, because if you were, you would not be
the type of person we’re looking for. As long as I can prove that this is a legitimate business
with career potential, would you have an interest in earning extra income?
OR
Our company is just like real estate. You have an opportunity to work alone or go into
management, but that’s your choice. Tell me, would Tuesday night or Saturday morning be
better to get all the details?
OR
I’m not sure what I said to give you that impression, but are you aware that pyramids are
illegal? (yes.) You don’t think I’d be involved in something illegal, would you? (no). What
makes you think what I’m talking about is a pyramid? (well, because you hire people and the
person at the top makes all the money). Oh, you main like your job now? Is your job a
pyramid?? (no). Great, then, we are on the same page now. If I can get you all the facts, would
you be willing to take a look?
I already know about your business!
Really? Did you ever come to a business orientation? (no) You’re not the type of person who
makes a decision without all the facts are you? (no) So, isn’t that what you’re doing right now? (I
guess so). So wouldn’t it make sense for you to get all the facts, and then make an educated
decision?
I don’t think I’m interested.
What is it that you’re not interested in since you don’t know anything about my company or the
positions? (I’m not sure) You would be interested in making an extra $1,000 - $1,500/mo part
time, right? (yes). Would you at least be willing to get all the facts before deciding you’re not
interested?
IF STILL NOT INTERESTED:
Since the company’s only expanding through word of mouth, who do you know that either isn’t
happy with their job, or who might be looking for extra income? Would you mind if I followed up
with you in a few months to see if anything changes?
Do you have to pay money to work for the company?
Well, that would be pretty silly, wouldn’t it? No, you don’t have to pay money to work for the
company. However, you do have to obtain a state license to work with people’s finances. Do you
have a financial service license? (No). Then the state of NJ/NY, not us, will help you get the
appropriate licenses, and our company helps sponsor the right people. So, with that said, would
you be available on Tuesday night or would Saturday morning be better for you to get all the facts
and details about our company’s opportunities?
