Biblical Call Paper
I chose the passage Luke 15:1-7 because I thought it basically meant you love
each other equally. You don’t just leave one person left out and all the others play. You
include everyone and give them a place in your heart. Jesus said in the passage that if one
of the Pharisees lost one sheep he would leave his ninety-nine other sheep to go find his
one lost sheep. I can love like Jesus loved in the passage by always not forgetting
someone or excluding someone from the group, but let them in the group to have fun
with us all.
I chose Bl. Mother Teresa and she lived out her biblical cause by founding the
Missionaries of Charity. Missionary of Charity is a Roman Catholic religious
congregation. In 2012 Missionaries of Charity consisted of over 4,500 sisters and is
active in 133 countries. They run hospices and homes for people with HIV or AIDS,
leprosy and tuberculosis, soup kitchens, dispensaries and mobile clinics, children's and
family counselling programs, orphanages, and schools. I can model my life after their life
in always trying to give as much as I can to orphanages, churches, charity, school
systems, soup kitchens, ext.
2. One specific way I can make a difference or help someone this holiday season is
going to Target or Walmart look for someone that could possibly be homeless and buying
their groceries. Sometimes giving is better than getting, because you’re going to get the
biggest/most beautiful smile back at you and you’re going to feel so good inside and
accomplished. It makes you want to give and receive such big smile from people that
don’t have as much as we have. I was also thinking I could go to Starbucks, McDonald’s,
or someplace with a drive-thru and pay for their order without them even knowing.
