4. Fallopian Tube Cancer.
• Tubal cancer is a disease produced by rapid growth and
division of cells within one or both F’ tubes.
• It is the least common type of genital cancer . Symptoms ar
often minimal causing diagnosis to be made at an advanced
stage, although this can occur at any age.
5. Causes & Risk Factor.
• Family history.
• Age > Than 50 Yrs.
• Genetics.
• Weight- obesity.
• Endometriosis.
• Gentic condition.
7. Diagnostic evaluation.
• An enlarged fallopian Tube may be found on sonogram if
dilated or fluid filled.
• Or it may appear or be palpated as a mass.
8. Stages.
1. Cancer in 1 or both F.tubes.
2. Cancer in 1 or both F.tubes & has grown in pelvis.
3. Cancer in 1 or both F.tubes & Cancer has Spread to areas
outside pelvis.
4. Cancer has spread to other organs-distant Metastasis
outside abdomen & pelvis.
eg. Liver & Lungs.
