TO FINISH

2. Looking back at my preliminary task I feel my
knowledge of the production of film has
expanded. I have learnt new techniques in
filming, editing and distribution as I used
various technological skills to produce my work.
Before the main task, I had a basic idea of how
to edit and use Sony Vegas but after using the
software for a while, my skills have improved
since then. This will benefit me in my future
career as I want to go into the media industry
and good editing skills will be required. I have
also developed my film producing skills through
a better understanding of mise-en-scene in the
shots of the film such as the use of props.

3. I have also become more familiar with the genre
horror as I have analysed many opening
sequences and trailers for horror films, as well as
watching full movies and researching the
mainstream conventions used in those films
such as chainsaw massacre and the sinister, i
also broadened my understanding of what was
needed to successfully create a horror opening
sequence and broadened my understanding of
opening sequences in general.
