Location research

  1. 1. Location research: Monton Walks. Why I picked this location: I picked this location because of how deserted it usually is. Thereis a long pathway and on either side the surroundings are just trees and gravel. I feel if I wasto use this location, I could make my project a story of somebody who hasThis also fits my theme perfectly. Seeing as its empty the majority of the time, my modelcould be stood in the middle of the pathway looking round with a distressed look on her face.As my theme revolves aroundschizophrenia and mentalillness, while doing locationresearch I wanted to tryincorporating the theme in myresearch as a way ofexperimenting and getting anidea of what sort of shots andangles to use, and effects if any. This is probably my favouritepicture from the locationresearch as I used slow shutterspeed to see if I could use this inmy final shoot. I like how it’sturned out and I feel that itwould go with the theme well. My idea is for the model to just be stood staring straight at thecamera. The picture and everything in it looks disorientated and rather than me representingthe theme through the model, I tried to do it through the background instead. I want to showmuddled feelings and a sense of disorientation. I want it to be as though it’s showing thefeelings and emotions in the person’s mind, confused, unable to get their thoughts together.Which are some of the side effects of schizophrenia and depression.
