MACHU PICCHU
INCA TERRITORY
MACHU PICCHU
According to documents from the mid-sixteenth century , 2 machu picchu would have
been one of the vacation homes of pachacutec ( inca tawantinsuyu ninth , 1438-1470 )
. however, some of its finest buildings and ceremonial evident from the main access
road to the llaqta demonstrate that this was used as a sanctuary religious. two uses ,
the palace and the temple, it would have been inconsistent . some experts seem to
have ruled, however , an alleged military nature , so popular epithets of "fortress" or "
citadel " could have been overcome
Machu picchu is considered both a masterpiece of architecture and ingeniería.5 its
unique architectural and landscape features , and the veil of mystery that has woven
around much of the literature published on the site, have become one of the most
popular tourist destinations planet.
.
THE INCA CITADEL
every time we face a place whose written history does not exist , it is very tempting to
imagine what it was and who were the people who lived there in its heyday the inca citadel
of machu picchu.
we think of people walking the streets and squares , sitting or doing ceremonies , using his
dishes, wearing their ornaments , there are no living witnesses or written, but we know that
something happened there.
archaeology and ethnohistory help answer these and other questions, but certainly have
limitations. who lived in machu picchu and what they did ? if the hypothesis that it was the
mausoleum of pachacutec inca yupanqui is valid, it pays to know how it could be that place
in such conditions.
the mausoleum of the inca was surrounded by temples, shrines and other places where
coya , chief panaca "family" of pachacutec , its servers and amautas worship that kept away
from regular circuit of the ways living in the midst of a orchid forest .
THE PEOPLE OF MACHU
PICCHU
inca society was a rigid social structure in their ethnic relations and function, where power
was born.
the class structure did not respond much to the economic position of the people but rather
to the functions to be met within that community .The Incas had power over these many
chiefs and on a string of other heads of smaller territorial levels.
RESIDENTS OF MACHU PICCHU
thus the inca could dispose of taxes and service busy, but always through the intermediary
various scales representing the chiefs .When the inca managed to conquer the
tawantinsuyo transit king emperor was a curaca who had power over an area covering the
communities of the Cusco basin .
Inca Populator
economic privileges of the Incas were shared with other members of his lineage or panaca and
consisted mainly have well-appointed land for profit.
the Incas chose in the sacred valley of Urubamba , allocating many of them , such as machu
picchu and other of the same valley , to worship their dead heroes .
