2. HIPPIE FASHION
 The hippie fashion emerged in the
United States in 1960, after a peace
movement against the war in
Vietnam. In protest against violence
on people and animals.
 The hippie fashion shows a relaxed
attitude and carefree. Is a sign of love
and peace to the life. Influenced by
the folk and rock music. The hippie
clothes is ecological and is made
from natural garments .
 The hippie people had a natural
appearance, long hair, without
makeup and oversize clothing. The
clothes were in union with the nature,
with flowers and signs against the
system and the violent society. Styles
such as bell-bottom pants, vests, tie-
dyed garments, peasant blouses,
long skirts, head scarves, headbands
and long necklaces. They wore
clothes of many colors.

3. FASHION TODAY
 Today fashion has an important role
in society and it lets us define our
style.
 The fashion is varied by globalization.
We can get clothes from all the world.
Fashion and technology come
together to create new designs. Now,
new textures and materials combine
to make new garments.
 Today we have many types of fashion
wear, we can be hippies, rockers,
classic, executive… and that define
our personality… or not?, but the
latest trend is an urban, casual,
comfortable, feminine, stylish and
very natural look.

4. HIPPIE FASHION US FASHION
TODAY
 The hippie fashion was a time of
social and cultural change. The style
went radical changes because young
people rejected traditional clothing to
create a new bohemian look. The
freedoms styles still influence the
world of fashion. Today fashion
shows reflect the styles of the 1960´s.
There were no rules.
 Many of these things come back into
fashion.
 The hippie fashion more than fashion
was a great cultural movement,
however the current fashion is just a
physical appearance.
 The hippie fashion is more striking
than today. The fashion today is more
modern than hippie. But I think that
the most stylish is the current fashion.

5. OPINION
 The hippie fashion is more innovative and versatile in every way. It´s
an alternative lifestyle because it shows freedom and the love of
nature. They want choose their own way and find a new meaning in
life. The hippie movement was extended in many countries.
 Hippies didn't care what society thought of them, today people go to
fashion to be accepted. Before it was a way of life but today the
objective of fashion it´s increase sales and have more consumers.
