If the rule were to be changed to require two years of college, the players would be much more
experienced and would create a stronger group of rookies each year for the NBA. Imagine a young
man, straight out of high school, with dreams of playing in the NBA. What if he was one of the four
players who, between 1975 and 2001, declared for the draft straight out of high school never made it
to the NBA (Should high school players be eligible). What are his options after that? Sure, he could
always go to college, but what if he never applied to one? Another option is to play in a European
league, but how is an eighteen or nineteen year old expected to live on his own in a whole new

many are successful, the young men who are not may be forced to give up their dream and must

Our movie appreciation class has crossed off a plethora of films off my viewing bucket list. I am
often intrigued by what is considered "great" by critics and am always eager to find out whether I
agree with them or ponder whether their sense of taste is impaired. I have travelled on both sides of
the spectrum and can honestly say that some movies I've viewed are blatantly awful while others
cannot be denied of their superiority. In either case I am appreciative of the opportunity to be
acquainted with such classic films. Even if I didn't like them, they still quenched the curiosity that I
had prior to the semester. My least favorite film was one I had the most anticipation for–Citizen
Kane. Numerous critics have declared it to be the greatest movie of all time and I couldn't disagree
more. I found the story hard to follow and I couldn't connect to any of the characters. Nonetheless,
the film still has its merits. It was one of the best examples of a film being used as a tool in
communication. The message was profound and it gave me a great deal to ponder. At the beginning

Simon had nominated himself a few years before as Binet's research assistant and worked with him

test for measuring intelligence was introduced and simply called the Binet–Simon scale. In 1908,
they revised the scale, dropping, modifying, and adding tests and also arranging them according to
age levels from three to thirteen.

Lewis M. Terman, a psychologist at Stanford University, revised it. The fifth edition was released in
2003. The cognitive ability and intelligence test was used to determine whether a child had
developmental or intellectual deficiencies in young children. The test consists of five weighted
factors and both verbal and nonverbal subtests. The factors that were tested were for knowledge,
quantitative reasoning, visual–spatial processing, working memory, and fluid reasoning. The score

in 1963 and later to moved to Ontario, Canada. There his father was a professor at the University of
