Target Skills and Competencies

     __x__ With regard to the motivation and needs of adult learners, the teacher is aware of basic
           concepts related to the psychology of learning and integrates these into his/her planning and
           self-evaluation
     __x__ The teacher is aware of the most important concepts related to current theories of language
           acquisition, can recognise development patterns in the target language, and is able to
           integrate these into the planning of language lessons, thus structuring and supporting the
           language learning process.

Within the context of the group project there was evidence of the following competencies:

In his/her planning and self-evaluation, the teacher shows that he/she is able to:

     __x__    integrate learners' previous learning experience in his/her language lessons
     __x__    present learning materials in a lively and relevant manner
     __x__    take into consideration the needs and interests of the learners
     __x__    recognise the level of language competence of the learners
     __x__    anticipate possible language problems and show evidence of envisaged solutions in his/her
              planning


Remarks (Comments and Recommendations)
The teacher handles uses suitable exercises related to students’ needs taking in account the current theories of
language acquisition and she is able to integrate this background into his planning of language lessons. She is also
capable to create a learning atmosphere.

Remarks

SB has presented us with a reader-friendly, clearly structured dossier. Her preparation and lesson plans are carefully
thought out - she also gives an honest self-evaluation of her work afterwards. She is confident in her role as a teacher
and is able to create a stimulating learning atmosphere.




Compared to the original

My evaluation sometimes could differ from that made by an expert evaluator however; this is a
great opportunity to learn about the training area.
