Enzo Ferrari was an Italian auto racing driver and entrepreneur who founded Ferrari S.p.A., which went on to become a leading manufacturer of high-performance sports cars and racing cars. He was born in 1898 in Modena, Italy and began his career as a race car driver for Alfa Romeo before founding Ferrari in 1947. Under his leadership, Ferrari became a dominant force in sports car and Grand Prix racing, winning numerous championships and races.
