Fernando Alonso is a Spanish Formula One racing driver who was born in 1981 in Oviedo, Spain. He is the only Spanish driver to win the Formula One title twice, in 2005 and 2006 while driving for Renault. Alonso began racing in karting as a child with support from his father and worked his way up through racing series, joining Minardi in Formula One in 2001 despite the team's unpromising car. He later drove for Renault and Ferrari, winning races and championships over his career before retiring in 2018.

About Fernando Alonso:
Fernando Alonso was born in Spain in 1981 and the only Spanish to ever win the Formula One title twice
in history. During his early years, his father supported him devotedly even during his karting years. He
then moved to Euro Open Nissan Series in 2000 and to Formula 3000 landing 4th that raised Formula One
recruiters.
He signed with Minardi even the car was not that promising. But inspite the odds, he outscored his
teammates and ended up faster than Benetton his strong contender.
In 2003, he became Renault driver and landed second and third place with the team. He claimed his first
victory in Grand Prix in Hungary where he was recognized as the youngest driver to ever catch the title at
the age of 22.
In 2004, he made a distinctive mark on F1 race when he scored the third place from ninith place in the US
