The future is an ideology that preserves colonial and imperialist relations in the Global South. Design education can counter this ideology by encouraging the development of many futures of design education, through cultural hybridism, dialogue, and other ways of confronting the global South with the global North realities. This short talk is part of the Futures of Design Education conversations organized by DRS Pedagogy SIG.

5. Anthropophagic Studio at Faber-Ludens (2007-2011) and PUCPR
(2015-2019) (Van Amstel & Gonzatto, 2020).

6. Corais Platform is a digital anthropophagic studio, built with free
software and creative commons (Van Amstel & Gonzatto, 2016).

7. Corais has a growing wiki-style knowledge base and some sets
of card decks to encourage methodological diversity.

8. Corais Platform hosts more than 700 projects from social
movements, indigenous communities, and popular educators.
