Clean to Green is a free take-back program for used or defective electronic products (e-waste) to ensure their safe and environmentally sound recycling.
3. • All e-waste will be sent to contracted,
trained and licensed e-waste treatment
centers in India which meet stringent
standards, including health, safety and
environmental aspects.
• We make sure that the entire products,
including all components and accessories
are safely dismantled, components and
materials sorted by type and sent to
further treatment in dedicated end
treatment facilities.
What happens to the e-waste left
with Clean to Green?
4. Will the products
be re-used?
• Clean to Green targets products
that are at their end-of-life which
need to be recycled. Within this
process, we aim to achieve
maximum material recovery.
5. Is the recycler based in
India or will you export
for treatment?
• All products will be dismantled and
recycled locally. Output materials will only
be considered to be exported for treatment
when there is no regional solution for
recycling available.
6. What standard is your
recycler working to?
• Our recyclers are government and ISO14001 certified and have been audited by
CIERP's general contractor RLG. RLG's audit protocol is based on state-of-the-art
industry standards and built on experience from many different countries including
Germany and the United States of America.
• Clean to Green covers all product types of the Clean India Electronics Recycling
Platform (CIERP) member manufacturers CIERP is a program that provides producers
with a sustainable, reliable and efficient option to comply with the extended producer
obligations
7. Where can
consumers drop
their products?
• We have established
and contracted
collection points in
multiple states in
India and continue
extending the
network in line with
the requirements.
8. Why don't you pay
out money for
returned items?
• Clean to Green follows the idea
that manufacturers, consumers
and governments have a
shared responsibility for
treating electronic equipment
in an environmentally
responsible manner at their
end of life.
