(Extended Producer Responsibility) collection process
It refers to the process of collecting and recycling batteries as part
of the EPR program.
EPR is a policy that holds manufacturers (and extended
manufacturers) responsible for managing the waste generated by
their products throughout their entire lifecycle, including the end-
of-life stage.
The EPR program for batteries aims to ensure that manufacturers
(and extended manufacturers) take responsibility for the collection
and recycling of batteries they produce, and also to encourage the
development of a circular economy for batteries.

1. Collection: Consumers can return used batteries to designated collection points such
as recycling centers, retailers, or special battery collection bins. These collection
points ensure that used batteries are safely collected and transported to the
recycling facilities.
2. Sorting: Once the used batteries reach the recycling facility, they are sorted
according to their chemistry and type (category wise). This is important because
different types of batteries require different recycling processes.
3. Recycling: The recycling process involves breaking down the batteries into their
constituent parts and separating the valuable materials such as metals, plastics, and
and electrolytes. These materials are then reused to produce new batteries or other
other products.
4. Disposal of hazardous waste: The recycling process also involves the safe disposal of
any hazardous waste such as acids and heavy metals that cannot be reused. This is
important to prevent environmental contamination.
5. Issuance of “Green Certificate” for annual return filling at CPCB portal

Below mentioned are the ways (models) by

1. Collection: We will collect the battery waste in the name of the company (client)
from our/ASC’s channel partners and associates who are CPCB authorised recyclers.

certified weighing scale (which in turn will provide a certificate in the name of
company)
3. Recycling: Here the battery waste will be transported to our CPCB authorised
