2. 1. INTRODUCTION
This application is going to be known as Info ZakatUKM Mobile Application. These
applications about the news and latest event that are conduct by Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM (TAZUKM). These applications can inform to all student and staff who work and
studied at UKM about the latest event, announcement and other social activity. Besides
that, this application also provides some additional functions like calculator for calculate
nisbah zakat, direction and contact information. Before that, the people only get the
information about the latest event or activity by social networking like Facebook and
websites. Sometimes the people difficult to get information about the news because lack
of connectivity on internet.
Android application technology is very suitable to get the tiny news and specific data
about information management. The advantages it is internet-free and can cost-saving
(time and money).
2. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Nowadays, most of Muslims student and staff who work and study at UKM did not
know what the function of Tabung Amanah Zakat UKM (TAZUKM) at their university.
They also did know what the latest event, activity and some notification or
announcement that them do especially about the date to sending application Zakat for
students. TAZUKM make a social media especially Facebook as a medium to spread a
latest news about their activity. Some of student and staff do not have a time to online
because they have a lack of time to do that. Moreover, they also faced a some problem to
get the fastest bandwidth internet. Sometimes they do not know how to calculate zakat
calculation of real property before they make a payment at counter zakat.

3. 3. OBJECTIVES
The objective project is to provide convenience to the student and staff UKM. Besides
that, this application also can manage the information in the good way while help the
user to get directly information. By using this system, at least the Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM (TAZUKM) can reduce the problem of information management for the user.
Therefore, these systems prioritize features:
 Ability to keep information more organized, systematic and accurate.
 An application that have interactive user interface.
 Mobile application by using android platform.
 Facility to search and retrieve information and sharing of computerized data for
each step are shown with the instructions in the form of a menu that is easily
understood by customers.
4. PROPOSED SOLUTION
A new device application is build to get the notification about the latest activities and
other announcement about applying and payment Zakat. This new solution will help to
save time for both users which are students and staff UKM.
5. SCOPE
We are focusing on the android mobile application system that can be downloaded and
access by any user at android platform. Our target users for this application are student
and staff who studied and work at UKM.
Below are the major menus that are included in Info ZakatUKM:
a. Background
In this menu button, there is information about the background of application. It
also shows a little bit of information about Tabung Amanah Zakat UKM.

4. b. Latest Event
In these menus, the user can receive the latest events and activities that Tabung
Amanah Zakat UKM do.
c. Calculator
In this menu, the user can calculate the zakat calculation of real property before
they make a payment at counter zakat actual.
d. Location
In this menu, the user can search the location map of Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM.
e. Contact Us
In this menu, the user can contact the Head quarters of Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM. It also shows the address of the main office.
f. Facebook Icon
This menu is directly link to the Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/pages/Tabung-Amanah-Zakat-UKM
g. Website Icon
This menu is directly link to the website at http://www.ukm.my/zakat
6. CONSTRAINTS
i) Limited time to complete the project in the end of the project.
ii) Lack of skill for making the android application.
7. METHODOLOGY
The approach that we used is System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

5. a. Requirment Analysis Stage
 Defines project goals into defined functions and operation of the
intended application.
 Analyzes end-user information needs.
 Gather all the information about the user of Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM (TAZUKM).
 Study the advantages of the application for user of Tabung Amanah
Zakat UKM (TAZUKM)
b. Design Stage
 Create the mobile applications interface.
 Describes desired features in detail, including screen layouts,
process diagrams, flow chart and other documentation.
 All the layout theme must be suitable with Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM.
c. Implementation Stage
 The real code is written here.
 Implement the application similar as what was planned and
designed.
d. Testing Stage
 Brings all the pieces together into a special testing environment.
 Checks for errors, bugs and interoperability.
 Make sure system will run correctly and similar to what was
planned.

6. e. Evaluation Stage
 This is where the system that was developed, as well as the entire
process, is evaluated. Some of the questions that need to be
answered include: does the newly implemented application meet
the initial business requirements and objectives? Is the application
reliable and fault-tolerant? Does the application function according
to the approved functional requirements? In addition to evaluating
the software that was released, it is important to assess the
effectiveness of the development process. If there are any aspects
of the entire process, or certain stages, that management is not
satisfied with, this is the time to improve. Evaluation and
assessment is a difficult issue. However, the user must reflect on
the process and address weaknesses.
8. HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE USED
There are a few hardware used to make this project. The hardware used in
this project is :
a. Computer with 2GB RAM and 32-bit Operating System.
The system will be developed using some software such as Android
Studio and Xampp. These kind of software will be more compatible and suitable
for system development together with its characteristic that can produce one
effective system.
b. Xampp 3.2.1
 Xampp is a free and open source cross-platform web server
package, consisting mainly of the Apache HTTP Server,
MySQL Database, PHP and Perl programming languange.

7.  Xampp is available for Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris
and Mac OS x, and is mainly used for web development
projects.
 For Trainees Record System, we choose Xampp Version
3.2.1.
c. Android Studio
 Android Studio is the official IDE for Android application
development, based on IntelliJ IDEA.
 On top of the capabilities you expect from IntelliJ, Android
Studio offers flexible Gradle-based build system.
 Build variants and multiple apk file generation.
 Code templates to help you build common app features.
 Rich layout editor with support for drag and drop theme
editing.
 Lint tools to catch performance, usability, version
compatibility, and other problems.
 ProGuard and app-signing capabilities.
 Built-in support for Google Cloud Platform, making it easy to
integrate Google Cloud Messaging and App Engine

9. 11. CONCLUSION
Info ZakatUKM is a mobile application that will provide the notification about the latest
news, announcement and others activity that are conducted by Tabung Amanah Zakat
UKM to all student and staff who work and studied at UKM. Besides that, this application
also can manage the information in the good way while help the user to get directly
information. By using this system, at least the Tabung Amanah Zakat UKM (TAZUKM)
can reduce the problem of information management for the user.
