2. CONCEPT
A good concept ties everything together and
draws new customers in. Try and stick to
something that is associated with your
business. Here are a few examples of good
concepts.
3. GETTING STARTED
First off Tim I’m going to show you examples of other sites
that hate great concepts, colours and tones, to help
determine what you “your site” will turn out like. Lets Jump
in!
4. INFORMATIVE
When people visit EuroSport the first thing they see is information. EuroSports
wants all the top news of europeans sports to be easy to find and well displayed.
For example they have news articles in the middle and scores of games on the
side.
5. LARGE IMAGES SHOWCASE YOUR PRODUCT
Show case your product! For example I found this german coffee
company that uses large images on their home page to show what
they’re product is. Even though the site is in another language its
clear what they are selling.
6. SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE
Simplicity is key in some cases. This site has a nice
clean white layout, great font choices , and stunning
Images.
7. COLOR
Colour can help certain things on the site
stand out and help point your visitor in the right
direction. The colours you use on your site can
help visitors understand the purpose behind
your site. Colours will also change how visitors
feel when they see your site.
8. PLAYFUL COLOURS
Light blues and greens make the site feel playful and exciting. Playful colours will
keep visitors attention and will make them wanna stay and look around.
10. NEUTRAL COLORS
You can have a site that has more white , black and neutral colours. It does not try
make the viewer feel anything and are good for informative sites.
11. TONE
Tone will cause the viewer to have a certain
experience and it will layout what the site is
about. Tone will set the attitude of the site.
12. PLAYFUL OR FUN
You can use comedy in to lighten the mood and make visitors feel invited. You
can use jokes and jokes to do this.
13. INSPIRING
If you have an inspiring story or goal , you can portray that through your website.
You can do this by using uplifting quotes, images, and or colours.
14. FORMAL
Formal layouts are generally used by large businesses and want the site to be
more informative then playful. They use clean layouts and professional colours and
fonts.
15. RECAP
So Time I hope that talking to you about
concept , colour , and tone has give you a
better idea of what we could do with your site.
I look forward to meeting together with you to
further discuss your site and start planning the
it.
