Tom’s prize winning essay was one of 80 selected out of 7,000 and was selected as the representative for the Air Force for individual presentation.
4. During the summer of 1960, the Baer Family drove 2,000 miles from Morocco to Tom’s new assignment in Germany. Randy was 6 and Brian 3 with 6 week old, Baby Beverly. Here’s their 1954 Ford fully packed at a stop in Spain for a picnic.
