2. Create a file separate from your regular
file you use to play a game.
3. This is where I must choose a neighborhood, in which I will
play my game strictly for the FC. I can choose any
neighborhood I so desire. Without much deliberation, I will use
Sunset Valley. The reason for my choice is because I
personally like this neighborhood.
4. Loading Period… … …
During this time, I can start to think of a family name or look for
a face I would like my Sim to look like. This will help to kill time
if the game takes long to load.
5. Time to pick your Forerunners
(The first founders of the foundation)
6. I will pick or create two F.R (Forerunners) for my foundation. Each of them
will live in separate houses. (Male & Female)
7. For this challenge I chose to create a male and choose a female from the
already made Sims bin. To create the males (good) facial features, I went
on the web. I found two male actors and used certain attributes of their face
to compile my Sims face into this. I ‘am happy with the outcome, and I will
now select from the traits to create his personality to my liking.
8. Based solely on his looks and my overall goal for his life, I chose five traits.
* Charismatic * Flirty * Friendly * Great Kisser * Hopeless Romantic.
His Lifetime Wish : Living in the Lap of Luxury. I chose this aspiration
because of how his life will start. (dirt) POOR!
9. For his personality, I chose Tri-Tip steak as his favourite food to eat. He
Loves RnB and his favourite color is red. For his voice, you can see where
the setting is to get the idea of how he sounds
10. Meet Trenton McClaughan, a charismatic individual, with the aspiration to be living a life of luxury. He is a hopeless romantic,
and his a great kisser. He is very easy to get along with because he is very friendly and loves to flirt. He doesn’t have the skill to
cook but he loves Tri-Tip steak. Trenton is a smooth guy with the ear for RnB Music if that is your kind of thing. Lastly his
favourite color is red as you can see he adorns himself constantly in that color.
I wrote his mini biography to give a better understand of who my Sim is and if I
desire to use him in a story.
11. Now that I ‘am finished with my male FR (Forerunner), I can place him in the neighborhood. He
is single, so I do not have to edit relationships, he will build his own.
12. Put them in an empty lot that costs a bit
more than $10,000
13. Trenton’s current income is $16,000 and he has a few choices on where
he can live. There is a lot that is empty that costs, $1800, which is
relatively cheap. The other houses are over $10,000 and the challenge is
to buy house that is priced over $10,000. I want Trento to start out with
nothing, so my choice is…..
14. To go with the empty lot and to make sure his budget is low to maintain the
challenge of trying to make it on a low budget.
15. Trenton is placed on the empty lot and the next thing for me to do is place
the female Forerunner. I do not have to create her from scratch because I
already have one in the household bin.
16. I selected the female Forerunner and placed her in the neighborhood. She
is Pauline Matthews from the story Opened Windows.
17. Find a way for my two Sims to meet
without using the easy route of making the
Sims visiting each others house.
18. Visit community lots and watch to see if the two Sims I
created will meet. (This concept came because I use to
play the game like that) I can not allow the relationship to
build too quickly.
19. Click interactions back to back (E.g. complimenting the Sims
five times in a row). You must follow the rules of the game and
actually allow your Sims to communicate properly; calling the
Sim on a regular basis. Visiting them in their home; going on
dates and inviting them over for dinner.
20. Now that I have picked my game file, created & picked my
founders and placed them in my choice of neighborhood
now THE FOUNDATION CHALLENGE BEGINS.
