stage of production from agriculture to mining or industry to automotive.
At first machinery in Turkey was shaped with foreign dependency.Since 1990
themachineryindustry in Turkey has beengrowing at a rate of nearly 20
percentperyear.Andtoday, imagesobviouslyshowthattheTurkishmachinerysector is a
fastgrowing, risingsector in therace of export, thankstothemanufacturers spread
allaroundAnatolia.Thisimportantgrowth is providedbyutilization of thelow-
costandhighlyskilledworkforceandbyvirtue of the rate of domesticinput in theproductionstage.
Around 85 percent of domesticinput not onlyreducesthedependency on foreignsources, but
alsohelpsotherlocalindustries.
TheTurkishmachinerysector is a bigforce; raisingitsexportnumbersto 9 billiondollars in 2007
and7,6billiondollars in thefirst 8 months of 2008 raisingitsexportby 32%
comparedtothesameterm of thepreviousyear. . In 2010, the export amount of the machinery
sub-sectors as a whole increased 16,3 % .The annual increase in the machinery
manufacturing industry is expected to be at an average of 12-15 percent in the next 5 years.
In 15 EU countries 21,315 companies display activity in machine manufacturing industry; in
our country there are 11 thousand machine manufacturers. Central Anatolian Machinery and
Accessories Exporters Union acts as a dynamo helping the sector progress faster exercising
new applications to improve the competitive capacity of the Turkish Machinery sector in the
international markets.
. Themajorexportdestinations of Turkishmachineryproductsinclude Germany, France, the UK,
Italyand Iran respectively. On theotherhand,
TurkeyimportsmachineryproductsmostlyfromChina, Germany, Italy, France andthe USA.

cooling machines; heaters and cookers; roller and foundry machines; food industry
machines; agriculture and forestry machines; load lifting, carrying and stowing machines;

ironing machines; textile and ready-to-wear clothes machines; machines to process leather;
rubber and plastic; metal and machine tools; engines and spare parts; office equipment;
