1. MACHİNERY EXPORTS TO GERMANY HAS DOUBLED
Turkey’smachineryexportsto Germany, roseby 94.4
percentagebetweenJanuaryandSeptemberthisyear,ascomparedwiththesa
meperiod in 2010,according
tostatisticswasannouncedbyTurkey’sExporters Assembly (TİM).
Machineryexportationsto Germany wentup $746.9millionduringtheperiod,
upfrom $384.1 millionforthesameperiodlastyear. Machineriesformining,
building, thefoodindustry,
andcompressorsandpumpswereamongsttheclasses,wereexportedmostlyto
Germany, accordingtothe Central Anatolia MachineryExportersUnion
(OAİB), theAsiaMinornewsagencyreportedyesterday.
Inthemeantime,duringthefirst nine months of theyear, thecountry’s total
machineexportationsalsoexpandedto $6.11 billion,comparedtoabout $4.55
billionforthesameperiod of 2010,ın
otherwordsıtmeansthatexportexpandedmorethan 34
percent.increasingexports of machinegroupswere :
coolingmachineries,industrialairconditioners,machinerycomponentsandpar
ts, reactorsandcauldrons.
Except Germany,Turkey exportedmost of
itsmachineryproductsduringthefirst nine months of theyeartoIran with
$414.56million, the United Kingdomwith $322.08 million, Russia with
2. $301.52 millionandIraqwith$265.04 million,
Meanwhile, Turkey exportedmachineryworth $190.44
milliontoAzerbaijan and $161.56 milliontoSaudiArabia.
“Germany is a market wherewell-
qualifiedmanufacturersfiercelycompete.Consequently,havingdoubledourma
chineryexportstothiscountry is a keydevelopment. Turkey, however, has
toincreaseitsshare in this market,“Ouraim is tobringmachineryexportsto
Germany to $10 billion in fivetosixyears.”said Adnan Dalgakıran,
OAİB’sexecutive board chairman.
Turkeypurposestoexport $12 billionworth of machinerybytheyear’send,
accordingto Dalgakıran.Inorderforthemachinerysectortoachieveits $100
billion-exporttargetby 2023, it has togrow 22 to 23 percentage on
averageyearly, he said.
Toaccomplishsuchaims a respectableincrease in
researchanddevelopmentactivitiesandstructuraladjustmentsarenecessary,
said Dalgakıran.
