1. Rules and Procedures for Applying for the Authorization to
Establish or Operate Private Telecommunications Networks for
Personal Use that would not be Connected to the Public Network
Article (1):
The application for the authorization to establish or operate private
telecommunications networks for personal use that would not be
connected to the public network shall be according to the form prepared
by the Authority for this purpose , subject to the provisions of the Act,
its Executive Regulation and the following conditions:
a- Paying a fee of (250) Omani Rials to cover the cost of the form and
the processing of application.
b- Furnishing the Authority with the following:
1- Commercial Registration Certificate, if any, and the accompanied
computer documents, names of the authorised with signature and
specimens of signatures.
2- A copy of ID card/ passport.
3- Certificate of Affiliation from Oman Chamber of Commerce and
Industry – if any
4- A copy of any authorizations/ licenses that were previously
awarded to the applicant in the Sultanate.
2. Article (2):
The applicant shall furnish the Authority with the technical information
that includes the following:
1- Network diagram
2- Proposed areas to be covered
3- Type of the proposed service
4- Precise map drawing at a scale of (1 : 200000) clearly showing the
limits of the service area and geographic sites.
Article (3):
The Licensee shall pay to the Authority a License Fee of One Thousand
Five Hundred (1500) Omani Rials for each link of the Private Network
links after the consent of the Authority and prior to issuing the License
